Info

We want everyone to have fun for a safe and problem-free weekend. In order to move quickly through the route and everyone can dance, it’s important to read and follow the Ruedatón guidelines so everyone can enjoy themselves.

PREP: Prepare for a long day as if you were going camping, dress appropriately, bring water, pack lightly, etc.

TRANSPORTATION: For many ruedas we will be walking between the stops. However, sometimes we may need to hop on the bus or metro. We won’t be organizing transportation, but everyone will have a map that indicates the next stops. You are responsible to get yourself there, but it’s Madrid, so there are always plenty of options. If you are from out of town, just make sure to get two-day pass and stay with the group or a volunteer.

ETTIQUITE
Don’t break the rueda: Don’t enter or leave a rueda without a partner as this breaks the rueda and adds unnecessary difficulties for the caller and the other dancers. Rueda is a collaborative dance and we all have to collaborate to keep it moving!
Level: We will have do some large low-level ruedas that everyone can join, but we also want to keep the weekend interesting for seasoned rueda enthusiasts. At some stops, we have several callers do small ruedas for various levels. Pay attention to the caller and what they announce before you choose!
